Bella

I would give my left kidney for a source on those wallpapers. *_*

Well, the last two wallpapers I found on http://applewallpapers.net
The characters were specifically drawn by my New York Graphics artist, for my Computers, to be backgroundable...
(they weren't on the wallpapers before I put them there)
backgroundable...

Now I can background in peace.

Aurora Borealis

@Kriz: Those are amazing! Could I post those on tumblr?

I'm ok about posting it here, where all of you are my friends, but posting art given to me out there makes me uncomfortable. I think the best description is I am protective of things given to me.

Bella

People who are nervous about things being posted "out there" shouldn't put things on the interwebs in the first place.

Here I thought this was just a website of people I knew. Not like twitter or something where 10,000 people I don't know will look at it and download it.

Regardless, deleted and I won't.

Bella

I didn't want to freak you out with that. -__- It's just a (rather major) pet peeve of mine seeing people try to somehow horde/keep secret information online, especially if it's in any public forum (be it a very small one like OSC, or a large one like DeviantArt or Pixiv). In reality, the only way to keep art "safe" would be to download it directly from the artist, never show it to another soul and then have the artist delete their copy - though depending on the artist in question, I imagine this could backfire rather badly. (I know if somebody asked me to do such a thing, I'd laugh heartily and proceed to publicize the image far and wide through the internet under the most liberal CC license I could find.)

Then again, I'm more-or-less an Internet socialist (if not communist), so I take an extremely liberal stance on these matters.

Anyway, back onto topic~

This image makes me want to learn how to paint the surf/shorelines. Maybe I'll give it a try...

New wall on Cynthia! Just upgraded to a 3.5 kernel, current desktop environment is LXDM/LXDE (too lazy to compile dwm at the moment and LXDE's actually quite fast).
Went with something a little more colourful this time ^^

Nichi

@Paul: I love LXDE. At the moment, it's probably my favorite Linux interface

Paul

Having just customized my LXDE I can say that it all works very smooth now. Still can't beat the efficiency of a tiling WM IMO, but the good GTK / Openbox integration and the very pleasant speed have really made me like it. I was skeptical at first, because out of the box it looks more than slightly fugly to my eyes :)

Nichi

Yep, new wallpaper time :3

On 2k, Minecraft goes Nyan~

On Asagi, Miku seems to have a look on her face that says "Holy crap it's autumn"

Nichi

@Stew: I'm getting a Planet of the Apes vibe from that wallpaper
"They blew it up!"

Bella

And now I have a mental image of Twilight reenacting that scene. 'u'
