Finally went back and watched Shinsekai Yori.
It's pretty good.

I haven't been this distraught since the third episode of Meguca.

Following the characters through a long stretch of time like that really got to me. Especially what happened to Maria. It was set up kind of like the opposite of ARIA, if that makes any sense. Even got the NTR feel towards the second half.

Overall a solid 8/10 for me. Took a shit in my heart.
