So point is, its the only 2 of them who just really needs each other, but as for the others...there is no problem to be with the other OS. I will give you an example

But not to worry, after doing the drawing, it really isn't as bad as it looks (fyi, 2k-tan is in far worse shape).
I have a preliminary sketch in page 3 of this topic, but if you wait a little while I'll release the finalized PalmOS-tan pic today. That way, you can catch Mac-sama in all her shaded, er.... Glory.

If you were given the choice, what would you call the faction that the Mac-tans and -kuns belong to? "Apple Comp" sounds too boring and "The Apple Family" sounds redundant (since I plan to use it for "The Windows Family" -- not "family" in the warm-cuddly sense, BTW, but more or less along the lines of a mafia.... Ã,¬_Ã,¬').
"The House of Mac" would be cute (kinda like "The Cult of Mac"), but I figured you'd be in a better position to know better. ^.^

I don't really know what to think yet...maybe "iResidents" or "Apple Union"....I dunno...I'll think about it next time...

Anyway, thanks for spotting the easter eggs for this pic!  Since no one spotted any of the one's on Amiga-tan, you're making me feel all happy and accomplished.  Like maybe I can go ahead and retire....  ^___^

Aside from Palm-tan, there are a few other little details on Mac-tan's bomb, MSDOS' armband and on OSR2.5-sama, but nothing on the level of 2K-tan's stuff.  Actually, if you really want to be diehard, the easter eggs also contain a major BLOOPER that I hadn't caught until the day after I finished.  It's bound to enrage Windows 2000 users, but oh well, too late to change it now.

It raises my confusion level 50-fold (95-tan + OS9-tan = Mystery Gurl!), but it is cute, and certailnly lends credence to the fact that there are still tons of other OS-tans roaming the world!  

I'll see about fleshing out a proper reason for why Apple ][ doesn't live with the Mac girls, but I doubt it would just be based on a single thing.  For one thing, she'd be a bit too "proletarian" to fit well into Apple's current marketing approach, so it'd be to the company's benefit that she not be around.  But as far as her own feelings are concerned, it's only natural that she'd mingle better with OS-tans of her generation.  Her skills would be far better employed at the Binteji Renmei ("Vintage Federation") than in the frontlines of the struggles against Microsoft.  

There was also an Apple I and an Apple III, but I don't think I'll get THAT detailed.  ^^;
Besides, Apple II is really just the machine, not the OS -- there were, in fact, a number of "DOS" programs, the most successful being "ProDOS".  So I'm lumping them all into a single recognizable and cute OS-tan for the sake of convenience!

Unless you meant the other girls, in which case yeah I guess the came out alright (especially proud of 2.5-sama, since I didn't have much to work with and ended up reinventing her clothing).

No well, I guess you missed the little note about her in the middle of all the zombie threads.  Yeah, I know her preliminary sketch [on page 3] shows her in color and with more detail, but like I told the Captain I simply wasn't "feeling" her.  Guess I'm much more motivated to draw new and underrepresented OS-tans.  ^^;

So I coped out on her design considerably (compare the final product with the preliminary sketch) to save on time and not beat around the bush any longer.  And it does sorta add to the humor.  ^____^

Let's face it, 2K-tan is yesterday's news!
Now 95 OSR 2.5-sama.....  THERE'S a hip new OS-tan for the new generation!!  ^.^
(Even though, chronologically-speaking, she's older -- but let's just forget that inconvenient fact...  ^.^; )

In my de facto storyline premise, there was in fact a "Linux Union" (and still is in name at least), but it fell apart due to shoddy organization and cooperation.  That's why they joined forces with the remnants of the former "unix Family" to form the "Linux/Unix Consortium".

Granted the consortium is STILL a mess and STILL not a market threat to either Microsoft or Apple.  But then it's a different world now, so who know when the winds of fortune will change....  -v-

I can't remeber everything I just read, but here's my contribution to some points:
Zombies: If you know the army will arrive in a couple of days, your best bet is to get on a roof with enough food and water, and a shotgun. The aluminium bat it's a great option as a melee weapon (lol, keicchi from Higurashi). A chainsaw would be interesting . I remember seeing a movie about zombies (dont knwo the name in english. In Spanish: Exterminio [literal translation: "Extermination"], and one of the guys got a police riot suit (shield, body armor and helmet), so I guess Its plausible to get that kind of equipment (in case there's no hope for external help and you have to get out of the city) in your local police station =P.
NOTE about the movie: Saw it on TV [Fox], the scenario was set in london: the main guy suddenly wakes up from an hospital and finds that the whole city is empty, no human presence. He enters a church and, suddennly...DOZENS OF ZOMBIES running after him. He's saved  by a guy. The zombies are created by a virus, and the virus converts you in a zombie in a few seconds

Travel only by day, get your hands on a vehicle as fast as you can. If the city isn't destroyed (destroyed buildings, heavy damaged roads, etc), a fast but solid car would be the best. A police riot suit its an excelent idea. If you get a riffle, never waste ammo spreading a wall of bullets, snipe their heads (maybe try to hit their spine?). A flamethrower would be fun, but a better idea would be a few molotov bombs.  Avoid melee combat, run always you can, but if there's no choice and you're using your steel bat, hammer, etc., try to break their spines, and keep away from their heads once they're on the ground. NEVER listen to music while fighting-traveling, you MUST be able to hear that zombie slowly aproaching  behind you. Don't touch the "dead" (head destroyed) zombies, their blood could be the transmitter.

Games movies: I don't know why all of you are surprised that every game-based movie sucks. Its just as natural as the Murphy laws. However,  I hope Halo can break that rule. Heads will roll if the Halo movie sucks.

Starcraft: AWESOME RTS. Terrans all the way. Specialist in using Battlecruisers-Science vessels, but Tanks-gols & marines-meds-tanks are also great (and sometimes more useful than those bit sitting ducks that are the battlecruisers). Using the propper combo, they can hold a large Zerg rush. I Never liked Zergs, don't like at all Protoss.

Interesting story about that leg....

The original concept art had her bent down with both legs, and in fact the Poser rendition had her in such a pose.  After cel-shading, however, she kinda looked disturbingly,... midget-like,.... so I attempted to kneel her instead.  And even then, the original knelt posture had her left leg overlapping with OSR 2.5-tan's long skirt, which somehow looked a tad "off" for some reason.

Long story short, I "drew" the leg farther away from the skirt, the kneecap pointing more towards the camera.  And keep in mind I said "drew", as in (having no Poser reference) I had to literally hand-draw the new addition like any other real artist would do.  Naturally, I'm no real artist,... hence the results speak for themselves....  ^^;

Yep, someone at work said the same thing.  They also hinted that OSR 2.5-tan's corsette should be bigger, stretching from the waistline to breastline.

Did much better with Chibi Amiga and Chibi-Spectrum I think, but then they ARE just chibis.... -v-;

Anyway, got a good word in from a Me fan, a Mac fan, a 2K-fan and a 95x fan -- just need a fellow MSDOS aficianado to give me the thumbs up and we're all set.  ^___^

BTW, in your honest opinion, do you think the Jutte is a little too tacky for OSR 2.5-tan?  Or at least something the original artist might have an issue with?  ^__^;

Nothing bad at first glance about Palm-tan. Again, I lol @ 2k and Mac, 95 OSR 2.5 & MSDOS expresions. MSDOS leg looks a bit off, maybe trying to hide it more behind OSR2.5. Again, Mac-tan legs look a bit weird, and maybe making her torso a bit thin can help. OSR2.5 upper torso looks a bit too big (try to define better her b3wbz, and make her torso a bit thinner, specially her left side, near the arm). I would try to redline it, but I don't really have a lot of time right now =/
