Watching someone on YouTube talking about Fox's spiritual predecessor: The DuMont Network (Circa '40s)

Kinda funny how, even in the '40s, product placement still existed; as one of the comedy shows had the sketch suddenly stop mid-way for a plug for DuMont's television sets, delivered by the characters, then they suddenly go back to doing their sketch (Keeping in mind it was broadcast live, ala SNL). It's just as subtle as when Warehouse 13 did it for the Toyota(TM) Prius(TM) some 60+ years later xD
