Been playing some Victoria II as Prussia, which became Germany fifty years before it was supposed to and owns almost all of northern Europe. As soon as I saw the H&K objective (you have historical objectives to complete which make you a stronger country) I started concentrating on that (while taking over half of The Netherlands and all of Belgium along with losing a tiny bit of land to France) and now my army is ranked 3rd in the world.

Yup, it can use some pretty high settings though so make sure you run it on your best system.

Update: Just went back to playing again and now The Brits and French are startinga war to contain me, I must win!
