I'm currently gathering pics to use for each OS-tan character's infobox, and Bella, could I use your concept sketches for several of the OS-tans you sketched when I start their articles?

Sure, use whatever you need to. :^)

Aurora Borealis

Thanks! :D

I'm working on updating some pages now, starting with Windows 1.0. I added a separate link for Futaba's brown-haired version because her characterization is very different from the green-haired 1.0-tan.

Chocofreak13

looks nice ^^

but it got me thinking, could we add a "children" section to the infobox under character information?

Aurora Borealis

Not sure about that. Most OS-tans don't have children. It'd just be better to list that in the article itself.

Just created an article for 98-tan. It's about time that she and SE-tan have their own articles.

I created two new template boxes, one for articles that need expanding, and one for articles with outdated information.

Those are great Aurora-dono. X) Though I take minor offense at the 5.25'' floppy part. I still use those all the time..... .____.;;

Aurora Borealis

I knew I'd offend somebody with that. :P

Continuing the updating spree, done with almost all the Windows-tans and moved on to some Linux-tans.

If you want to contribute in a way that shouldn't take up too much time, help out with articles that need expanding on.

The Windows-tans in the category do have expanded backstories that still need to be added to the article. Another possible thing to add, especially for the canon-tans is alternate interpretations of their character.

I'll still have to search around for outdated articles:

Chocofreak13

if you want a slogan for outdated articles, how about adapting this:

Bwahahahaha! I'd love to include the panel of 95-tan holding the game controller, confused, but reluctant to because of the Deja Vu scandal. I did however write an article of their OS-tan comic:

It's been years since the scandal, but still. I'm hoping enough time has passed that OS-tan artists stopped caring about it.

Chocofreak13

to be honest, i don't think anyone outside of us will see it too much, and even if it does get traffic, not too many people will know. besides, they didn't change the design for 95, so i'd say it's safe.

when push comes to shove, the OS-tans are a FANMADE set of characters. there will always be variations on the designs. i don't seem Deja Vu as antagonists because they took some artistic licence, i see them as that because they tried to take FULL credit for the characters. :\

Okay. That shouldn't be a problem. I don't even know if Deja Vu has made any more OS-tan comics ever since. :-/

I've done some slight rewrites for some Linux-tans:

*Yellow Dog Linux-tan: She's friendly but not completely civil- she's a Playstation fanatic and is arch-rivals with Xebian-tan (a Debian variant for the Xbox). I think she'd also consider Damn Small Linux a rival (there's an Xbox variant for DSL too!). Surprisingly, she's friends with DexOS-tan, but that's another source of the rivalry between her and Xebian-tan.

*Damn Small Linux-tan: Hired as a spy by the Linux/Unix Consortium, but prefers her life as a wanderer. Has a rivalry with Tiny Core Linux-tan, as the head developer of TCL is a former developer of DSL.
