What's a jumpcoat?

jumper coat. i doubt that's the official term here, but it's basically a little dress/coat hybrid with a hood but too short/open to function as a "real" coat. the sleeves end at my elbows and it only has 3 large buttons, and the pockets are too far back. but it's super cute and i love wearing it. helps tie the whole "witchy" look together, too. ^^

basically, it's a grey knit dress (too short to be worn alone, so it's sort of like a jumper-shirt) with pockets and capped sleeves.

this is an example of a princess sleeve (though technically, because the sleeve keeps going down to the wrist, this is actually a muttonchop sleeve. when the pouf ends with just a band of fabric to keep it puffed, that's a princess sleeve).

Sounds too much like costume wear for my tastes. I'd prefer something more elegant, like a simple sleeveless dress with the right sweater thrown atop. (Now if only I had such a thing. ;w;)
