Well, eerm... Hi there!

I'm Smokey and I found out about OS-tans after downloading a couple  on DC++... I have to say : GREAT STUFF!!!

Anywayz, about me:
I'm interested in lots of stuff from gaming to rocket science, and I spend lots of time browsing Wikipedia for interesting facts. I'm a half dutch  :smoke: , half english, Soviet-minded otaku (makes sense, doesn't it?). And I'll listen to basically all sorts of music, ranging from classic to trance...

ow and I'm running my machine on WinXPprox64, for two (good) reasons:
1. I'm the only one I know who's able to keep a Windows install running for years on end (months non-stop ) and I love to gloat about it around people who mouth off in being soooooo good in everything
2. I run an Athlon X2 4800+ wich is 64-bit (64-bit system, 64-bit windows ( if Win2K was available in an x64-version, I'd use that 'cause that's -after DOS- the best OS Microsucks ever came up with...)

I had seen os-tans on the internet before but I didn't know what they were about. Then today I was on a forum and a person created a poll about os-tans and had a link to this site.

Yes I am, because DOS is simple, it loads instantly, and it has never heard of the BSOD.
Win2K is a good second because that showed me that windows doesn't have to freeze up everytime.
And XPx64 is a distant 3rd (still way ahead of other windows-versions) because its a 64-bit system that can do without the trinklets that vista has (i never used vista and it will be a cold day before i do), if only i could find more x64-drivers for my stuff.....

Thats basically my microsoft top three (open for discussion ofcourse)

How the HELL did you find OS-Tan stuff on DC++ of all things, Mah Boi!?!?!? Of all time I've spent there (something like the last 6 years or so) i've never seen a single one...good going, matey. -w-

I'm probably going to disappoint you by not saying Linux...unfortunately, I'm running XP. I would much prefer to run 2000, as it is my favorite of all OS's...and also since I have very little knowledge of how to get Linux running properly. I tried before and got lost quickly. =/

Reminds me of myself when I used that insidious Novell SUSE -- had I known then Novell was evil, I would have used something else.  ^__^
