@Alfonso: Happy birthday! Looks like you had a fun party!

thanks... all 20 minutes were fun... especially when my little nephew kept poking my cake, which was pretty good

New pics :3

I took another trap adventure today, to try a different clothing store than usual, so here's a pic of what I wore

Beall's is a lot more busy than JC Penny, given that they're located in the Plaza; where many popular businesses are located

While there, I tried on this greenish-blue dress (It appears blue here, but was more green in-person). I was considering it...until I saw the price tag: $75. That's a bit much for something this plain, especially when I bought something fancier for $20 a few weeks back ^^;;;

I also tried on this dress, which I loved the way it looked. It's $90, unfortunately, so it's unlikely I'll ever buy it. Actually, it's not likely I'll go back to that store; everything is way too expensive (Although I did get a bikini bottom from them for $1. It was hidden on a rack of bikini bottoms toward the back of the store, and was apparently a leftover from last summer)

Now, the plate I bought last weekend at a thrift store:

The last one is a close-up on what I'm guessing is the company logo; for anyone who wants to translate it

Chocofreak13

that's not a company logo, that's a maker's mark. (no, not the liquor, it's just the artist signing his work.) you'll find marks like that on a lot of authentic japanese ceramics, chinese and korean too. they take their crafting very seriously over there.
as for the design, depending on the size of the plate it might have been for a wedding, given that the dragon and phoenix are said to symbolize man and woman. of course, they're popular motifs in asian art anyway, so it's probably just a regular design. xD

that dress is cute, but not $90 cute.

The plate is roughly size of a DVD case. Not very big

Also, agreed. If that dress was under $30, I'd jump on it >w>;;

Chocofreak13

but it's not, so don't. >>;;

what's the bikini bottom look like?

just keep your eyes peeled. i got a lovely Japanese laquer platter at my mum's other job (at a consignment store) for $4. -w- (just for the record, japanese laquer is harder to find than japanese ceramics, so i pounced on that >:3 )
