@Bella: If I make the bios a separate article within the faction articles, I'd place them closer to the top, possibly right below the member list.

@Choco: That could work. :)

Right now, I'll experiment with putting up some bios and see how they turn out.

Chocofreak13

you might also put in connections to other families. such as MS's connection to BR and the unix family, if any :3

That sounds good too! I'm listing examples I can think of off the top of my head.

To add (tentative):
- connections to other factions: Of course! It's not like these factions are isolated!
  • Some of the Mac-tans are semi-retired and are part-time Binteeji Renmei members
  • Some Mainframes resigned from the Guild (i.e: SAGE, EXEC, OS2200)
  • The CIOST includes former Mainframes, wanderers and Unix Family members who defected
  • connections between Unix and MS Family: To this day, SCO Unix (Xenix's daughter) is sympathetic to the Windows-tans
  • A$C founded in response to MS Family's rise to power

-connections to other families: Alliances and rivalries, for example:
  • The Classic Mac/Apple Family has Unix step-relatives who share a culture with them, i.e: A/UX, NeXTSTEP, the OSX-tans and DarwinOS.
  • The Mac Family allied with the Unixes somewhat in the late 90's, which allowed the OSXs to be born
  • The Windows NT line's relation to the DECs, although the Windows-tans are unaware.
  • the IBM and CDC mainframes among others were sworn rivals during their heyday. Now they mainly just tolerate each other.
  • In the 80's, the Apple-tans, Commodore-tans, MS-IBM Family, Atari-tans and Tandy-tans along many more other families were all rivals, but their rivalries were civil. Well, usually. Due to the circumstances of Atari ST's and Amiga's existences, the Commodores and the Ataris developed a vendetta against each other.
  • The Unix Wars, and the Windows Family contributing to their downfall.

-Beliefs and values: This might be a tough one, but here I go:
  • Wanderer class: Every -tan for themselves!
  • Binteeji Renmei: We will help anyone who needs it, especially the most vulnerable. Resourcefulness and teamwork are greatly valued, as this is by no means a wealthy faction, but we shall pull through!
  • House of Mac: Making a comeback with style and moving forward, but we acknowledge the past and its sacrifices. Even after dropping all Classic support, the OSXs and many of their comrades won't leave the Classics behind. Track record with classiness and sophistication isn't as good as they want it to be though.
  • Windows Family: We must appear perfect. Revisionism and keeping secrets of the past is a-okay if it improves the family spirit and motivates them to succeed brilliantly.

Aurora Borealis

Tandy is Tandy/Radio Shack's TRS-80 series. There's a TRS-80/TRSDOS-tan, and her sister TRS-80 Color Computer/CoCo-tan.

stewartsage

Mmm, TRS-80, that lovable lil' zealot

Chocofreak13

and you said making multiple -tans for one OS was pointless and a waste of time. >:\

Bella

Firstly, those -tans were made ~4 years ago, by a member who hasn't been here for years so we don't really have any say in how they were created; secondly, the TRS-80 and CoCo ARE quite separate machines. It's like arguing that VIC-20-tan and C64-tan are multiple -tans for one system.

Aurora Borealis

Yeah. Both the original TRS-80 and its color counterpart were simply called the TRS-80, but those two are quite different, and so are their characters.

Still using my userpage as a sandbox for porting bios, I got started with some House of Mac and Wanderer Class bios to port over, but I had been working on the Windows Family section the most since all of them are complete in the original.

Once I get a section finished, or rather, up-to-date, I'll move it over to a section within that faction's article.

Anyone else agree with the ideas listed in my last post?

Oops... I mean the one before that. I didn't notice that post! x_x

Chocofreak13

xD i suppose this post is pointless, since it's obvious that i agree, since i suggested some of it. xD

I see my ideas in there and I am very happy ;D

it's also kinda... odd, to have my ideas put into such a huge project.

Chocofreak13

I think that's code for "go for it" Aurora. :3
