In order to have a complete and convenient way to know all rules or FAQs for this site, i make this thread as an official checkpoint for the rules. This thread is the only place you should seek to know what's OK and what's not. Therefore, this post prevails over any other posts in case of conflicts regarding rules.
Table of contents :
Website Rules - What may be done, or not.
1 - Terms of Use
2 - Age requirements

Website Rules - What may be done, or not.
1 - Terms of Use
General forum terms of use, common to any forums
2 - Age requirements
This board is open to any people. Hentai sections are restricted to 18+ years old.
3 - Copyright policy
All pictures posted under the forum, gallery, wiki or any other places of this site must be free or your own work. It is tolerated to post pictures under fair use (which means, to illustrate something and without stealing intents, usually size lower than real size) as long as it's not abusive. You are not allowed to post any other non-free copyrighted files without the agreement of the author.
4 - Forum posts
You must post when you have something to say only. Posting small posts ( <= 10 words for example ) without any real interest will be erased. Ultimately, it is up to the thread owner to decide if such posts will be allowed or not. If unsure, please contact thread owner AND post smart in the meantime .
5 - Pictures maximum size
5.a : Picture thread(s): No size limits whatsoever; random picture thread contains no text to read, so large images should not pose any problems.
5.b : Everywhere else in forum : Maximum dimensions for displayed pictures: 640x480. Pictures larger than 640x480 must be linked or attached to the post.
6 - Avatars, Signatures
6.a : Avatar maximum size is 150x150 pixels. Maximum filesize is 50kb. Animated avatars are allowed as long as they fit the filesize.
6.b : Signatures can be approximately as big as the Os-Tan banner on top left. Try to not exceed that size. As long as your avatar or sig is not intrusive, it'll be ok.
7 - Long-time members privileges
Such a thing doesn't exist.
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
A - General technical forum FAQ
You can check forum general FAQ here, common to any forums.
Here are topics covered :
* Login and Registration Issues
* User Preferences and settings
* Posting Issues
* Formatting and Topic Types
* User Levels and Groups
* Private Messaging
* Attachments
B - May i become moderator ?
No, you can't. And best way to not be one is typically to ask being one.
C - The default style is too heavy, is there a light style available ?
Yes, you must login then go to your profile, select "preferences" then layout. The gg_harmony_blue style is available for those who don't want fancy features on forum (mainly main page). A direct link to your layout preferences is there.
D - I can't access Hentai sections (gallery) ?
You must be part of the OS-Tan citizens group. To do so, please login and go to the groups panel, then ask to join the OS-Tan citizen group. You must have at least 10 posts to be accepted as a part of this group but ultimately, it's up to the admins to accept or not. Please this group is not used only for Hentai, members are not all pervs
E - I want to participate in the wiki but it says incorrect password when i log in ?
You must be part of the Wiki group. To do so, please login and go to the groups panel, then ask to join the Wiki group. There are no minimal requirements and you'll mostly be accepted, registration in this group is used to ease wiki maintenance mostly.
F - Who ?
* Fedora-Tan. (admin _at_ ostan-collections.net)
G - I want to submit a new banner ?
You can send your banner by mail (to an admin) or in this thread. If it's good enough, it'll be uploaded.
H - Do you support COPPA ?
No. And we won't support it.
I - What is this site income ?
There're no income for this site, it's totally benevolent. You can make donation to Fedora-Tan to help hosting fees, however.
J - Is there a quota for file uploads ?
No.
K - I want a new feature / I want something changed
Do it yourself. Ask for admin rights to Fedora-Tan, do it then it'll be done. Really.
L - Where are the servers located ?
France. |

You both can moderate the Site Management area of the forum only, I believe (looking at the front page). Forum moderation is in general still in my and Captain's hands.
Welcome to the OS-tan Gestapo, both of you. |

There is no wiki forum, but i can make one if needed (that said, i'm not sure it would have any use). You can however use the announce forums to make any announce you feel appropriate, therefore you are both moderators for the feedback forums (to be able to make announces).
For the rules, i'd say they apply mostly for the forum, since wiki was not made the time i wrote that. There are, however, some points specific to the wiki (like the 300px size for wiki pictures).
I'm not sure i understood the question, but here's my answer
(and feel free to ask again if that doesn't answer your ask)
Added after 1 minutes:
It's like Pitkin said, minus the gestapo thing : as wiki maintainers, you'll be more in charge to make the wiki live and / or working and or / interesting rather than just kicking suckers. That said, you can do that last task, too, but it's not the primary goal |

| So...I'm just a Wiki Mod. Holy heck! That's still darn good! It seemed a bit odd that I'd be an ultimate forum mod so soon. I see no need for a wiki forum, though. But if you need another ultimate forum mod, I'm open. But I think I better get good at being a Wiki mod first, though. |

I don't see it as "just" a wiki mod, since a wiki has proven to be as difficult to deal with as a whole forum (and even more) if it get used a bit |

Please notice the savage bandwidth stealing is not allowed, especially regarding gallery.
I noticed some people - won't tell who - use website copiers to download the whole content of the gallery.
While the whole gallery is free, please refrain from using such methods, since it just damages the service quality we try to offer there.
From now, anyone using a website copier to download whole gallery (or near) will be banned (and maybe warned prior, but only if i'm in a very good mood )
If you need for any reasons to download a large part of the gallery, please contact me for details rather than doing such things. Thank you |

To avoid confusion, C-Chan and NewYinzer (Wiki maintainers) are removed from the forum moderator group. It's only a layout change, since they are still able to post announces on the feedback forums if they feel necessary.
Also, CaptBrenden is now listed for moderator only for the 2 main forums, but he's still a global moderator with rights on any forums. It's just to avoid that "Moderators : CaptBrenden" line repeated each and every forum. He's a global mod, so don't bother him, anywhere
Here's what wiki moderators are supposed to do (from a PM) :
What does a wiki moderator do specifically?
>> He moderates the wiki
More exactly, they can accept / deny users from editing the wiki, and can lock pages on the wiki. They have also to coordinate the whole wiki regarding links schemes and navigation.
Is this like moderating a forum?
>> They have no rights on the forum (apart posting announces regarding the wiki). For the rest, that's what i said above.
How to track guest and members in the wiki?
>>There is no such function on the wiki at the moment, i believe. If there is, then it's native and i didn't put it, but i'm not sure i saw such a function so far, maybe you should ask directly C-Chan to know ? For tracking edits, however, there is a dedicated page, but it's available to everybody (the recent changes page)
- - - - -
Typically then, only layout changes and no rights changes. |

Cool! So...why doesn't it say "Wiki Moderator" above my avatar? |

Typically because i can't put - at the moment - a dynamic title (changing with posts count) AND a static one. If you want the wiki moderator title, you'll have to select a static title as well
(and also, tbh, i wasn't sure you still wanted the job since the wiki logs didn't show any activity from you since a while ^^; )
Added after 2 minutes:
OK it's not that bad, it's just a week, but when i checked, you didn't appear since Tsubashi and C-Chan filled all the "recent log" |

| Oh dear...my apologizes! My RL has been extremely busy lately. The term is ending and I've been swamped as a result. Also, recent sicknesses have also made my VL suffer quite a bit. If you could change my avatar to a static title (Instead of GNU/Linux, better make it DR-DOS) as well as adding "Wiki Moderator" to it, I'd be grateful. I should be able to return to my full wiki-modding abilities in a matter of a few days. But considering that this is me swamped with work, I don't think that I'll be able to take the job of global mod - for a few months at least. |

No need to apologize Everyone has a RL (or at least, everyone should have )
I put you the title you required, but to not add confusion again, remember it's Wiki moderator, not global moderator, which is CaptBrenden (on the forums)
My, my, is it so confusing ? |
