Im sure those artists put their blood sweat and tears into their work as well. I make no distinction between our art being any less of artwork then their work. However, as proud as we may be of our own artwork, unless we limit our own artwork to JUST OS-tan related artwork, our personal galleries should not be above the collections our very name is direved from. We were bit created to be an personal art hosting site. THe user galleries were an after thought added so that instead of having a gereral fanart section for members (as we had originaly when our membership was very low) that there could be some distinction between them. But now people post all manner of files in their user galleries that no longer even pertain to the OS-tans and some isnt even their artwork!

For example im looking at rob224's gallery right now.. He didnt draw those pictures. Those are all OS-tan pictures drawn by other artists that should be sorted into the appropriate galleries.

Its all other peoples artwork, all pictures that either exist in the gallery already or should be sorted into the appropriate folders.

This situation is without a doubt a problem. We were designed to host OS-tan artwork, personal unrelated artwork was allowed later to be conciderate of artists, but now it seems we are bing used as a file hosting service.

On top of that the meat and potatos of this site are the (as you called them) "Real art" galleries. People come here to sift through those, they come looking for XPtan and 2k, for Sonata and linux. They didnt come to see captbrendens personal artwork, but its there for them to view if they want to.

Our gallaries with hundreds of pics dedicated to the tans we claim to be dedicated to should come first, and our own artistic pride should come second. Im not asking for the user galleries to be taken down, simply moved below the main gallries on the list. This is a perfectly reasonable thing and in no way is ment to insult any artists. A gallery collecting the works of many artists from around the globe dedicated to a single tan with hundreds of items comes before individual artists we just happen to know.

What does everyone else think? I need to hear opinions from everyone possible. Ill likely post a Poll later on it and we can vote after we have heard the issues.
